Does your water agency have a project that could use a shot of adrenaline? If you have a sustainable water project that is struggling to get started, or has hit a roadblock where some outside expertise can make a difference, consider applying to WaterNow’s Project Accelerator Program.

Two projects will be selected, receiving 3-6 months of technical and program assistance each in 2018 -- support valued at $25,000 each. A brief project description is all you need to apply by our Nov. 20 deadline!

What kind of support will Project Accelerator projects receive?
Selected projects will receive up to 250 hours of professional support from WaterNow staff – with capabilities ranging from deep water policy expertise to communications strategy:

While any project that relates to advancing sustainable water use in your community is eligible, here are 3 examples of the types of projects we at WaterNow envision for the program:

  • Your water agency board would like to pursue a cash-for-grass lawn replacement rebate program, or other water efficiency program, but your agency lacks capacity to research best practices and design a program.
  • You need help crafting a new ordinance to encourage graywater system adoption or incorporating green infrastructure in new developments.
  • You’d like to do a comparative analysis comparing the cost per acre-foot of water saved through a new rebate program versus acquiring new supplies from a neighboring supplier.

Two projects will be selected – with projects commencing in early 2018, to be completed by June 30, 2018. CLICK HERE to submit your application.
