Meggan Quarles

Meggan Quarles joined the Water Authority in March 2022 as the
Government Relations Manager. Quarles brings over 15 years of
experience in the water industry, including directing the work of
state and federal lobbyists, developing legislative strategic plans,
and managing communication and outreach programs.
In her role at the Water Authority, Quarles manages advocacy interests
in local, state, and federal issues, serves as a legislative advocate, and
provides support to the Board of Directors and General Manager staff
on legislative issues.
Prior to joining the Water Authority, Quarles supported the California-
Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association and the
Center for Water Education. Most recently she served as the Government
Affairs Manager for Rancho California Water District, where she
successfully advocated for $60 million in funding for her district.
Quarles holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and a Master of
Public Policy and Administration from California State University,
Long Beach.
