EPA’s Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) program trains landscape professionals in water-efficient irrigation, design, and management practices. WaterNow has been an EPA-certified QWEL Professional Certifying Organization since 2015, helping communities across the West reduce outdoor water use and grow their local workforce capacity for water wise landscaping.
The QWEL program equips landscape professionals with practical skills in irrigation system auditing, water management, and sustainable landscape design—helping reduce outdoor water use while maintaining high-quality landscapes. WaterNow runs the QWEL training for communities that may not have the internal capacity to manage a program.
As a PCO, WaterNow provides:

• Marketing and outreach to recruit participants and build partnerships
• Enrollment management and participant tracking
• Certification administration and reporting
