NGO Resources to Support Frontline Communities

WaterNow and many of our partner organizations have programs to respond to frontline community needs and create more climate resilient water systems.

  • Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project brings safe drinking water to low-income rural residents, sanitary water disposal, and structurally sound housing to 450,000+ households across a seven-state region.
  • River Network seeks to protect water quality and ensure safe drinking water by building capacity among organizations and communities focused on these issues, in particular building trust between utilities and local community-based organizations.
  • Water Equity and Climate Resilience Caucus, hosted by PolicyLink, is a national network of organizations advocating for federal policies to support frontline communities, as well as affordability issues more generally, at the federal level.
  • Rural Community Assistance Corporation works with rural water systems, providing training and on-site support to build capacity to improve, finance, operate and manage water services.
  • DigDeep advances community-led water solutions, developing an evidence base, mobilizing young people, and building an ecosystem of change.
