Mayor Candy Meehan has served as Mayor of Norwood, Colorado, since 2022. With over 20 years of experience in heavy civil construction and a strong background in public service, she brings a pragmatic, community-driven approach to rural leadership—focused on water infrastructure, land use, emergency services, housing, and sustainable development.
She serves on the **Executive Committee of the Colorado Municipal League**, where she advocates for policies that reflect the unique needs of rural communities. She is also a committed member of **Club 20**, helping represent Western Slope interests in regional and statewide conversations.
Mayor Meehan is a founding member of the **Wrights Mesa Water Coalition**, a collaborative partnership working to secure long-term, equitable water solutions for Norwood and the surrounding region. Under her leadership, the town has secured significant state and federal funding to support essential infrastructure, public education, and affordable housing.
