Amanda Lo
Amanda Lo is a dedicated water treatment professional with over three years of cross-functional experience in operations, laboratory analysis, and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as a T4 Water Treatment Plant Operator Trainee for the City of Havre de Grace in Maryland, Amanda holds Maryland state operator certifications in T2 Water Treatment and 5A Wastewater Treatment. Amanda is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of public safety and environmental stewardship. To further her impact on municipal operations, Amanda has built a robust educational foundation that bridges science and management. She holds a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and a Water Management Certificate from Arizona State University. She is currently a candidate for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of the People. Her focus on management and leadership directly complements her technical background, preparing her for increased responsibility and strategic oversight within public works. An active contributor to the professional community, Amanda is a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF). She currently serves on the Young Professionals and Students committee for the Chesapeake AWWA (CSAWWA), where she supports workforce development initiatives and organizes events for the next generation of water sector leaders.
