More Details

EPA’s Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grant (OSG) program can fund both gray and green stormwater infrastructure needed to manage stormwater and address sewer overflows. This flexible federal grant program administered by states offers municipalities and utilities an opportunity to accelerate investments in green infrastructure alongside conventional options. WaterNow Alliance will host this 1-hour webinar for municipal, utility, and community leaders nationwide with EPA and Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources to explore how the OSG program can improve water infrastructure, reduce flooding and sewer overflows, and promote stormwater reuse.

The webinar has 5 objectives—

  1. Provide attendees with an overview on EPA’s OSG program including its objectives, eligibility, and application process, as well as how OSG program dollars can supplement State Revolving Fund dollars.
  2. Equip participants with the knowledge on how to finance green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) through the OSG program.
  3. Feature perspectives from the state level implementing the OSG program and how Wisconsin is using the OSG program to supplement other water infrastructure funding and prioritizing green stormwater infrastructure investments.
  4. Demonstrate a municipality taking the steps for a green stormwater infrastructure project from conception, to application, to implementation, and reporting.
  5. Answer questions relating to the OSG program and funding GSI through the OSG program.

The webinar’s speakers include::

  • Michael Goralczyk, Clean Water State Revolving Fund, U.S. EPA/Office of Wastewater Management
