Unlocking Federal Funding: Securing WaterSMART Grants for Colorado Communities
More Details
Overview & Objectives: As the Intermountain West grapples with historic drought, declining reservoir levels, and record-low snowpack, Colorado communities are looking to implement sustainable and resilient water management strategies to address these challenges. Federal grants can help make these projects a reality. WaterNow will host a one-hour virtual webinar focused on the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s WaterSMART program for Colorado municipal, utility, and community leaders. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of two open opportunities: Small-Scale Water Efficiency Projects (SWEP) and the Drought Response Program (DRP). The program will detail specific application requirements and tips to complete a successful application. The webinar will conclude by outlining how WaterNow’s free WaterSMART Application Support & Help Desk can provide Colorado communities with the assistance they need to navigate the application process and cross the finish line.
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify how WaterSMART funding can be applied to specific local water efficiency and drought resilience initiatives.
- Navigate the requirements and timelines of the USBR application process.
- Leverage available assistance, including 1-on-1 strategizing and detailed application reviews provided by WaterNow.
