I serve as the Public Works Superintendent – Utilities for the City of Columbia
Heights, MN. I hold bachelor’s degrees in history and geography from Gustavus
Adolphus College and a Master of Public Administration from Hamline University. In my
role with Columbia Heights, I coordinate, plan and budget all water distribution
and wastewater conveyance operations; I also manage the Urban Forestry Department. Long term capital
planning is my focus and repairing/replacing the 100+ year old infrastructure in Columbia Heights my goal. I
began working for Columbia Heights Public Works in 2019. Before joining Columbia Heights, I worked for 10
years at the City of Eagan, MN as a Utilities Specialist managing special projects and contracts. I currently serve
as the Secretary/Treasurer for the MN Section of AWWA and have taught Basic Wastewater Collection Systems in
the WUTT Program at Saint Paul College.
