Jerry Tang, a Walnut resident since 1993, represents Division I on the Walnut Valley Water District Board of Directors. He was officially sworn into office on February 15, 2019, and currently serves as the District’s First Vice President. In addition, Director Tang oversees the District’s Public Information Committee, and is an active member of both the Engineering and Debt Ad Hoc Committee. Furthermore, he serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Spadra Basin GSA Executive Committee.

Mr. Tang earned his Masters of Public Health in Environmental Health Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and has worked as an Environmental Scientist at the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts for more than 30 years.

Since 1998, Mr. Tang has also served in other areas of the community, such as the Rowland Heights Community Christian Church, where he has held numerous leadership roles.
