Negin Ashoori

Negin is responsible for supporting BAWSCA’s technical and policy-level water resources work. She participates in several conservation efforts and in overseeing water supply planning, operation and maintenance activities associated with the San Francisco Regional Water System. Negin also provides support in the development of water demand projections, allocation of water supply during a drought, and analysis of new water supplies for the BAWSCA agencies, including water transfers, groundwater, desalination, recycled water, and water conservation.

Previously, Negin served as a Fulbright Scholar in Lille, France working on smart city systems and was a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University where she worked on various water management projects. Negin has a Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Tufts University, and a B.S. in Biological Sciences and B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
