Work in partnership with a community to develop enhance their existing graywater program and, in parallel, to produce a downloadable solution toolkit that can jumpstart implementation of household graywater programs by other water service providers. The toolkit will be designed to meet each water provider at their current baseline stage of graywater program implementation, whether starting from scratch or looking to refine an existing program to improve adoption rates in their community.
Add capacity: Provide added capacity and resources needed to build out graywater program components.
Communications and outreach: Develop communication strategies and outreach materials to effectively convey the benefits of graywater systems. Conduct research and public surveys to better understand the communities existing awareness, interest and concerns about graywater.
Remove/mitigate household challenges: Develop a rebate program that provides sufficient financial support to encourage property owners install graywater systems. Develop a robust cohort of landscape professionals able to provide graywater services
Build political support: Develop evidence and demonstrations of successful programs with measurable metrics to help them establish the requisite political support for launching and expanding graywater programs in their community.
