Little Thompson Water District, CO

Building a Resilient Water Future Our Approach Project Outcomes

Project Goal

With worsening drought and limited water supply from the Colorado River, LTWD is working to strengthen its conservation strategies and maximize long-term water savings. Serving 10,000 residential and 400 non-residential customers across a 250 square mile service area, LTWD sources most of its water from the Colorado-Big Thompson (C-BT) Project. As LTWD prepares to update its Water Efficiency Plan, it seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of its current efficiency programs to build a resilient water supply during droughts and future shortages.

Our Approach

WaterNow is partnering with Little Thompson Water District (LTWD) to support the update of its water efficiency plan. The project team will evaluate the successes, challenges, and goals of LTWD’s current conservation programs, and develop a survey to gauge program interest. Drawing on this research and survey, the team will develop a water efficiency program implementation roadmap to inform program design and funding.
