Rocky Mountains

Water use efficiency, funding navigation, lead line replacements, green infrastructure — it’s all happening in the Mountain states.

WaterNow has been active in the Colorado Basin since 2018 — with dozens of Accelerator projects focused on upscaling water use efficiency as a source of reliable supply. We also work to expand green infrastructure, establish pathways for utilities to invest in forested watersheds, and help underserved communities navigate water financing opportunities.

While most of the developed water supply in the inter-mountain West is dedicated to agriculture, it is the urban areas large and small that must supply basic water services to millions of people while preserving stressed natural resources for generations to come.

Green, distributed and nature-based strategies have potential to be a huge part of the solution, and states like Colorado are leading the way. Check out WaterNow’s Rocky Mountain projects and resources.

Resilience in the Rockies

Join WaterNow and waterloop for a half-day event on October 20, 2026, bringing together Colorado municipal staff, utility professionals, policymakers, designers, and community leaders for an interactive program featuring docuseries highlight reels, panel discussions, and peer exchange focused on how to scale water conservation efforts as long term water supply strategy.

Attendees will explore practical lessons, funding strategies, and real-world examples from communities leading the way in water efficiency and resilience. Lunch and happy hour provisions are included with your ticket!
