SECURING FEDERAL FUNDING FOR SUSTAINABLE COLORADO WATER PROJECTS

WaterNow provides no-cost, hands-on support to Colorado communities applying for the US Bureau of Reclamation WaterSMART grants. We help navigate complex application requirements and secure funding for sustainable water projects that strengthen long-term water supply reliability.

WaterSMART grants can fund an array of projects, ranging from water efficiency programs, GSI, reuse, watershed restoration, and drought resilience efforts, making them one of the most important federal funding sources available to Colorado communities.

WaterNow’s support is geared toward communities with capacity or resource constraints in navigating the federal funding process and includes:

  • 1-on-1 strategy calls to identify the best-fit funding opportunity
  • Research tasks related to your application
  • Application templates
  • Editing and review of application materials
  • Letters of Support
  • Guidance throughout the application process, and more!

We focus on helping communities build the capacity to pursue federal funding – not just for one grant, but over the long term. Specific WaterSMART programs that we support are outlined in the request form below.

WaterNow is an independent, non-profit that receives philanthropic funding to support Colorado water providers to apply for WaterSMART funding. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation implements the WaterSMART program and makes all final grant decisions. We are not affiliated with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in any way.
